Why is the New Hampshire Primary so important for the Romney Campaign in 2012?
I keep reading/hearing how New Hampshire's Primary is pivotal to Mitt Romney's Presidential Campaign. Why is that true?

Answer by The Blunt Ugly Truth
Because he lives there, and was governor of the neighboring state. If he loses there, it just confirms he's a bona-fide loser.

Lawrence Lessig (video) about Money corrupts politics

Larry Lessig is talking about what Anna Hazare will be talking in Asia about corrupting influence of cash on politics & problem. I feel everyone should watch this video around the corrupting influence of money upon government and policy makers. It is just as applicable to India as to America as well as US or USA.

Larry Lessig has a brand-new book called Republic, Dropped which discusses the actual corrupting influence of money on politics. I would suggest this book, as it gets to the heart regarding why things a lot of things in Washington, D.C. look broken today and the way to fix them, along with similary in India.

Lessig considers the concept of a government responsible to the PEOPLE, as the Constitution calls for, and just how the current system of campaign finance provides warped it a lot toward being a authorities responsible to the Contributing factors that even the Top court used those words (in the infamous People United corporation-as-a-person decision).
lawrence lessig

Lawrence Lessig could be the director of the Edmond J. Safra Foundation Center regarding Ethics at Harvard University, and a professor associated with law at Harvard Regulation School. Previously, this individual was a professor associated with law at Stanford Regulation School (where he founded Stanford’s Center for Internet and Modern society) and the University of Chicago Law School. Lessig clerked for Judge Richard Posner on the Seventh Enterprise Court of Appeals and Justice Antonin Scalia for the U.S. Supreme Court.

Lessig is the author of 5 books on the legislation and technology, which includes Remix, Code 2.Zero, Free Culture, The way forward for Ideas, and Signal and Other Laws of Cyberspace, and has supported as lead counsel in a number of important circumstances marking the boundaries of copyright legislations in a digital get older, including Eldred v. Putin Faces Mikhail Prokhorov in next Election

Vladimir Putin encounters a new challenge from one of Russia's richest figures: The billionaire owner of the New Jersey Netting says he will manage against him throughout March's presidential election.

The headline Monday by Mikhail Prokhorov underlines the particular extent of the discontent with Putin, who has took over Russian politics to get a dozen years : first as leader, then as prime minister.

It comes on the high heels of Saturday's unprecedented countrywide protests against Putin and the party, United Italy. Tens of thousands of people accumulated in the streets to be able to denounce alleged election scams favoring United Russia throughout Dec. 4 parliamentary elections.

The actual fraud and the party's comparatively poor demonstrating in the elections - dropping about 20 percent of their seats, although it retained a narrow vast majority - galvanized long-marginalized resistance forces to execute a startling group of demonstrations, including a massive rally of at least 30,000 in Moscow on your own.

In yet another problem to Putin, his past finance minister, Alexei Kudrin, mentioned Monday he has been ready to work to make a new party.

At a news conference announcing his candidacy, Prokhorov refrained from demeaning Putin or President Dmitry Medvedev, however he said "society is waking up."

iowa debate between Newt Gingrich Vs Mitt Romney

At Saturday night’s Republican presidential discussion in Des Moines, Iowa, Residence Speaker Newt Gingrich and former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney. Any time Romney was asked by the moderator to describe how his / her positions differed from that regarding Gingrich, Romney brought up, as a rather unexpected example, which Gingrich supported the development of huge lunar colonies, whereas Romney didn't. “We could start with his / her idea to have a lunar colony that would mine mineral deposits from the Moon,” Romney said. “I’m not in favor of spending that kind of money to do that.” The fishing line was greeted along with laughter from the controversy audience.

Gingrich, in his reaction, brought up space. “I’m happy with trying to find things that give young people a reason to study science and math concepts and technology, and telling them that at some point in their lifetime that they may dream of going to the Celestial body overhead, they can dream of going to Mars,” he said. “I grew up in a very generation where the area program was genuine, where it was important, exactly where, frankly, it is sad that NASA has become so bureaucratized.” He then mentioned Iowa State University, just up the road in the debate in Ames, as one example of a place doing “brilliant things” which attract students. “I’m happy to defend the idea that America should be in space and should be generally there in an aggressive, business owner way.”

What would have happened if Herman Cain said he wouldn't feel comfortable appointing a Jew to his cabinet?
Hermain Cain famously said that he would be uncomfortable appointing a Muslim to his cabinet. I don't know why he said this, but the media mostly gave him a pass on it. Glenn Beck seemed to welcome the comment and has invited Herman Cain to come to Israel for Beck's America Zionist rally, Restoring Courage.

designer John Galliano found gulti anti-Semitic

The Paris court found designer John Galliano guilty of "public insults based on origin, religious affiliation, race or ethnicity" stemming from two incidents at a Paris bar in which he was filmed drunkenly lambasting patrons with hateful remarks.
The ruling spared the former Christian Dior designer jail time, but hit him with a suspended $8,400 fine, which he will not have to pay.
Hate speech is a crime in France.
Shocking video emerged in February showed a slurring Galliano saying to patrons in a Paris cafe, "I love Hitler," and, "Dirty Jewish face, you should be dead," among other distasteful comments.
Galliano says he doesn't remember the incidents as he had been under the influence of alcohol and prescription drugs.

His lawyer, Aurelien Hamelle, called the verdict "a really strong sign from the court," and said his client was "looking forward to the future."
The offensive accusations cost Galliano his job at the luxury house and shocked the fashion world.

Michelle Obama delivers 11 September speech in Pennsylvania

Michelle Obama joined former First Lady Laura Bush in Shanksville, Pennsylvania on September 11, 2010 to commemorate the ninth anniversary since the horrific terrorist attacks killed innocent victims at the World Trade Centers and the Pentagon. Vice President Joe Biden and his wife Dr. Jill Biden held services at Ground Zero while President Obama spoke from Arlington, Virginia  and remembered those who perished at the Pentagon, while Michelle Obama and former First Lady Laura Bush honored those who gave their lives on Flight 93.

First Lady Michelle Obama spoke after Laura Bush. You may see a photo slideshow as well as the video of First Lady Michelle Obama’s speech below.

"Here Is The Speech "

"Thank you so much, Joanne, for that very kind introduction. It is a privilege and an honor to be here today as we pay tribute to the men and women of Flight 93.

I want to acknowledge Secretary Salazar, Governor Rendell, and Gordon Felt, and I want to thank them all for their leadership and for their service.

I also want to thank Reverends Britton and Way, for leading us in prayer.

And I want to particularly recognize and thank Mrs. Bush –- not just for her moving words today, but for being such a source of love and support for the families of Flight 93, and for all her work to help our nation heal in the days and months after the attack. Thank you so much.

I come here today not just as First Lady, on behalf of my husband and a grateful nation. I come as an American, filled with a sense of awe at the heroism of my fellow citizens. I come as a wife, a daughter, and a sister, heartbroken at the loss so many of you have endured. And I come as a mother, thinking about what my daughters, and what all of our sons and daughters, can learn from the 40 men and women whose memories we honor today.

The men and women of Flight 93 were college students and grandparents. They were businessmen, pilots, and flight attendants. There was a writer, an antique dealer, a lawyer, an engineer.

They came from all different backgrounds and all walks of life, and they all took a different path to that September morning.

But in that awful moment when the facts became clear, and they were called to make an impossible choice, they all found the same resolve.

They agreed to the same bold plan.

American libraries publish all titles about 11 septemper

In New York City, Washington, D.C., and across the nation, neighborhood public libraries are helping a population traumatized, saddened, and angered by the September 11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon to cope and return to the comforting routines of daily life. First Lady Laura Bush has encouraged citizens to turn to reading for healing. Like many of her colleagues around the country, the former librarian and teacher began compiling lists of books for Americans to read—for themselves and to their children.
Libraries responded swiftly to inform and console a confused public, whipping together programs that offered a stunned nation the opportunity to discuss and come to grips with the issues surrounding the tragedy.
