Governor Rod Blagojevich was just sentenced to 14 years in federal prison on corruption charges.
Blagojevich apologized today during his sentencing hearing -And Said "I've had plenty of time to reflect on all that's happened ... I'm here convicted of crimes and I am accepting of it, acknowledge it."
Blagojevich was convicted back in June after a jury found him guilty.
During the course of his political career, Blagojevich was involved in a number of controversies including at least a dozen separate federal investigations; the Tony Rezko indictment and trial; feuds with his father-in-law; contested state appointments; and allegedly holding state funds from the Memorial Hospital in Chicago.and In 2008, he was investigated for and charged with crimes resulting from his role in the sale of the Chicago Cubs and Wrigley Field ,
