The Marine unit Urinating Photo

Afghan President Hamid Karzai on Thursday condemned a video depicting what appears to become 4 U.S. Marines urinating on the corpses of Taliban fighters.

A presidential statement described the act as “completely inhumane” and named on the U.S. military to punish the Marines.

The Marine Corps stated Wednesday it truly is investigating the YouTube video but has not but verified its origin or authenticity. The case has being referred to the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, the Navy’s globally law enforcement organization.
The Afghan Ministry of Defense also condemned the actions within the video, which it described as “shocking.”

The NATO-led security force in Afghanistan released a statement Thursday saying, “This disrespectful act is inexplicable and not in trying to keep together with the higher moral standards we expect of coalition forces.”

The International Safety Help Force said the actions “appear to have been carried out by a little group of U.S. individuals, who apparently are no longer serving in Afghanistan.” The statement did not identify the personnel or explain why the ISAF believed they had left the country.
Marine Corps headquarters in the Pentagon explained: “The actions portrayed are not constant with our core values and will not be indicative of your character from the Marines in our Corps. This matter is going to be entirely investigated.”
