Elizabeth Warren and Leader Pelosi
Elizabeth Warren, Assistant to the President and Special Advisor to the Secretary of the Treasury on the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, met with Leader Pelosi and freshman, sophomore and junior Members of Congress of the Democratic Caucus this morning.
Thursday, July 21 marks the one-year anniversary of enactment of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. This law includes new and historic consumer protections, such as the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, which will protect American consumers against the unfair, abusive, deceptive, and predatory practices that led to the most severe financial crisis since the Great Depression.
